Richard Coles: podcast appearances and interviews

Richard Keith Robert Coles, born on 26 March 1962, is an English writer, radio presenter, and Church of England priest. He initially gained prominence as a multi-instrumentalist in the 1980s band Bronski Beat and later as a partner of Jimmy Somerville in the band the Communards. The band achieved notable success with three UK top-10 hits, including the number one record and best-selling single of 1986, a cover version of Don't Leave Me This Way. Coles has been a familiar presence on radio and television, contributing to various programs and appearing in newspapers. From March 2011 until March 2023, he co-hosted BBC Radio 4's Saturday Live. His television appearances include contributions to shows such as QI, Would I Lie to You?, and Have I Got News for You. In addition to his media career, Coles holds the position of chancellor at the University of Northampton. He has served as an honorary chaplain to the Worshipful Company of Leathersellers and is a patron of the social housing project Greatwell Homes in Wellingborough. His diverse career spans music, broadcasting, and spiritual leadership, making him a well-recognized figure across multiple fields.
