About Randy Quaid
Randy Randall Rudy Quaid, born on October 1, 1950, is an American actor with a notable career spanning several decades. He received nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award for his performance in the film The Last Detail in 1973. In 1978, he co-starred as a prisoner in the film Midnight Express. Quaid won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy Award for his portrayal of U.S. President Lyndon Johnson in the television film LBJ: The Early Years in 1987. He also received Emmy nominations for his roles in the productions of A Streetcar Named Desire in 1984 and Elvis in 2005. Quaid is widely recognized for his role as Cousin Eddie in the National Lampoon's Vacation film series and for his portrayal of Russell Casse in the 1996 film Independence Day. Additionally, he lent his voice to the character Alameda Slim in the animated feature Home on the Range in 2004.
