About Raina Telgemeier
Raina Telgemeier is an American cartoonist and author born on May 26, 1977. She is known for her work in the graphic novel genre, including the autobiographical webcomic Smile. This webcomic was later published as a full-color middle grade graphic novel in February 2010. Telgemeier's other notable works include the graphic novels Sisters and Drama, both of which have appeared on The New York Times Best Seller lists. She has also authored and illustrated the graphic novels Ghosts and Guts. In addition to her original works, Telgemeier has adapted four graphic novels from the Baby-Sitters Club stories by Ann M. Martin.
