Rachel Susan Dratch is an American actress, comedian, and writer born on February 22, 1966. After graduating from Dartmouth College, she moved to Chicago to study improvisational theatre at The Second City and ImprovOlympic. Dratch gained widespread recognition as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, where she served from 1999 to 2006. During her tenure, she portrayed a variety of roles, including Debbie Downer, and occasionally reprised her characters in later episodes. Her television credits also include appearances on The King of Queens, Frasier, 30 Rock, Broad City, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, in which she played the recurring role of Wanda Jo Oliver. Dratch has acted in several films, including Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, Spring Breakdown, That's My Boy, and Plan B. In 2022, she made her Broadway debut in the play POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play. She was also nominated for another Tony Award for her performance in Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.
