Jameela Jamil: podcast appearances and interviews

Jameela Alia Jamil, born on 25 February 1986, is a British actress, comedian, activist, and presenter. She began her career in the United Kingdom, hosting a pop culture series on Channel 4's T4 strand from 2009 until 2012. Following this, she became a radio host, leading the broadcast of The Official Chart and co-hosting The Official Chart Update alongside Scott Mills on BBC Radio 1. Notably, she was the first regular solo female presenter of the BBC Radio 1 chart show. In 2016, Jamil relocated to the United States, where she took on the role of Tahani Al-Jamil in the NBC series The Good Place. Her work encompasses hosting the TBS late-night game show The Misery Index and serving as a judge on the voguing reality competition Legendary. Her recent projects include voice roles and appearances in superhero-themed productions such as the animated film DC League of Super-Pets and the live-action television series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Since 2022, she has also lent her voice to the character Asencia in the science fiction series Star Trek: Prodigy.
