Randy Barnett: podcast appearances and interviews

Randy Evan Barnett is an American legal scholar and the Patrick Hotung Professor of Constitutional Law at Georgetown University Law Center. He teaches courses on constitutional law and contracts and is the director of the Georgetown Center for the Constitution. Barnett has an academic background that includes degrees from Northwestern University and Harvard Law School. Early in his career, he gained practical legal experience as a prosecutor in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago, where he handled felony cases. He has received recognition for his scholarly work through awards such as a Guggenheim Fellowship in Constitutional Studies and the Bradley Prize. Barnett has also served as a visiting professor at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University, and Harvard Law School. Throughout his career, he has been involved in notable legal cases; in 2004, he argued the medical marijuana case of Gonzales v. Raich before the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, he was part of the legal team representing the National Federation of Independent Business in the constitutional challenge to the Affordable Care Act in NFIB v. Sebelius.
