Tyler Cowen: podcast appearances and interviews

Tyler Cowen is an American economist, author, and public intellectual. He holds the position of Holbert L. Harris Professor of Economics at George Mason University and serves as chairman of the university’s Mercatus Center. Cowen is well known for his public engagement through his blog Marginal Revolution, which he has co-authored with Alex Tabarrok since 2003, and for hosting the podcast Conversations with Tyler. His work covers fields including economics, philosophy, and cultural commentary. Cowen advocates a pragmatic form of libertarianism that emphasizes strong governance, economic dynamism, and technological progress, which he describes as state capacity libertarianism. His influence has been recognized internationally; in 2011, he was listed among Foreign Policy's Top 100 Global Thinkers, and Prospect magazine ranked him among its World Thinkers in 2015. Additionally, The Economist named him one of its Most Influential Economists in 2024.
