Philip Dunton Murphy is an American politician, financier, and former diplomat associated with Choose New Jersey. Born on August 16, 1957, Murphy has a background that includes a career at Goldman Sachs, where he held several high-level positions over a span of 23 years before retiring in 2006. He also served as the United States ambassador to Germany from 2009 to 2013. Murphy's educational credentials include degrees from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
