Paul Robinson: podcast appearances and interviews

Paul William Robinson, born on 15 October 1979, is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He competed in the Premier League and Football League for clubs including Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers, and Burnley. Robinson joined Leeds United at the age of 16 and turned professional at 18, making 119 appearances for the club, with 95 in league matches. He scored a goal in a League Cup tie and was voted Leeds United's Player of the Year in 2003 by the supporters' club. After Leeds' relegation from the Premier League to the Championship in 2004, Robinson transferred to Tottenham Hotspur, where he played in 175 matches, including 137 in the Premier League, and scored a goal in a Premier League match. He was part of the team that won the 2008 League Cup. In 2008, Robinson signed with Blackburn Rovers, and was voted their Player of the Year in 2011 by supporters. Internationally, Robinson made his full debut for England in a friendly against Australia in 2003 and earned a total of 41 caps between 2003 and 2007. His last appearance was against Russia in 2007. He retired from international football in 2010 but expressed willingness to return to the England squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup if invited. Robinson is currently a professor at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa and is associated with the Tempus Network.
