Paul Francis Tompkins, born on September 12, 1968, is an American comedian, actor, and writer. He has worked in television on various programs including BoJack Horseman, Mr. Show with Bob and David, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Best Week Ever, later renamed Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins. Beyond television, he has made numerous appearances on podcasts, most notably on Comedy Bang! Bang! where he has over two hundred appearances. He has hosted several talk and interview series such as No You Shut Up! on the Fusion Channel, The Dead Authors Podcast, and Speakeasy with Paul F. Tompkins, a series on Made Man. He has also hosted the Earwolf podcast Spontaneanation with Paul F. Tompkins, and was the creator and host of The Pod F. Tompkast, which was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the top comedy podcasts in 2011. Tompkins is a main cast member of the Superego podcast and has been involved with the Thrilling Adventure Hour podcast. Currently, he hosts the podcasts Threedom, The Neighborhood Listen, and the independent Stay F. Homekins. His voice work includes voicing Mr. Peanutbutter, an anthropomorphic yellow Labrador, on the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman from 2014 to 2020. He has also appeared in drama films such as There Will Be Blood and The Informant! and had a recurring role on the sitcom Rutherford Falls in 2021. His Twitter account was named one of the best by Paste in 2014.
