Patrice Washington, born in 1961, is an award-winning author and transformational speaker affiliated with Redefining Wealth. Her career as an airplane pilot has been notable for a series of historic achievements. She was the first black woman to graduate from Embry–Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Washington became the first woman pilot of Bahamasair and later served as the first black woman captain of a major U.S. air service. She also made history as the first black female pilot hired by United Parcel Service.
