Parley Baer: podcast appearances and interviews

Parley Edward Baer (August 5, 1914 – November 22, 2002) was an American actor known for his work in radio, television, and film. He appeared in numerous television series and theatrical films throughout his career. Baer is perhaps best recognized as the original Chester in the radio version of Gunsmoke and as the Mayor of Mayberry, Roy Stoner, in The Andy Griffith Show. Additionally, he portrayed Arthur J. Henson in The Addams Family, where he played roles such as an insurance executive and the city controller.
