Oren Lyons: podcast appearances and interviews

Oren R. Lyons Jr. is a Haudenosaunee Faithkeeper of the Turtle Clan for both the Onondaga Nation and the Seneca Nation of the Six Nations of the Grand River. As an Onondaga elder, chief, and messenger for the Haudenosaunee, he has played a significant role in advocating for Indigenous rights. Lyons has served on the Indigenous Peoples of the Human Rights Commission of the United Nations for more than 14 years and has held various leadership positions related to Indigenous issues.

In addition to his advocacy work, Lyons was a highly recognized college lacrosse player at Syracuse University. He later became an active supporter of Indigenous sports and culture by founding the Haudenosaunee lacrosse team. His contributions span both cultural preservation and human rights activism, emphasizing the importance of Indigenous sovereignty and identity.
