Olly Murs: podcast appearances and interviews

Oliver Stanley Murs is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality born on 14 May 1984. He gained recognition as a contestant on the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009, where he finished as the runner-up. Following his participation in the show, Murs was signed to RCA Records and Sony Music in the United Kingdom, as well as Columbia Records in the United States. His debut self-titled album was released in 2010 and entered the UK Albums Chart at number two; it was certified double platinum and featured hit singles such as Please Don't Let Me Go and Thinking of Me. His second album, In Case You Didn't Know, released in 2011, debuted at number one in the UK and produced two number-one singles, Heart Skips a Beat and Dance with Me Tonight. His third album, Right Place Right Time, came out in 2012, with the single Troublemaker becoming his fourth UK number one hit. Murs continued to release successful albums including Never Been Better in 2014, which reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and featured singles like Wrapped Up and Up with Demi Lovato. Subsequent albums include 24 Hrs in 2016, You Know I Know in 2018, Marry Me in 2022, and Knees Up in 2025. In addition to his music career, Murs returned to The X Factor in 2011 to co-present The Xtra Factor and later co-hosted the show with Caroline Flack in 2015. From 2018 to 2023, he served as a coach on The Voice UK.
