Nipsey Hussle: podcast appearances and interviews

Ermias Joseph Asghedom, professionally known as Nipsey Hussle, was an American rapper, activist, and entrepreneur. He emerged from the West Coast hip-hop scene in the mid-2000s and initially gained regional recognition with his self-released mixtape Slauson Boy Volume 1. Hussle later signed with Cinematic Music Group and Epic Records, gaining further prominence through his Bullets Ain't Got No Name mixtape series, as well as The Marathon, The Marathon Continues, and Crenshaw. The latter was notably purchased 100 times by rapper Jay-Z for US$100 each. His debut studio album Victory Lap, released in 2018 after multiple delays, reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, received critical acclaim, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Hussle's musical successes included winning Grammys for Best Rap Performance with his single Racks in the Middle and Best Rap/Sung Performance as a featured artist on DJ Khaled's song Higher. Beyond his music career, he founded The Marathon Clothing store in 2017 and co-created a co-working space named Vector 90. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hussle was engaged in community activities and entrepreneurship. On March 31, 2019, he was fatally shot outside his store in South Central Los Angeles. The incident led to the arrest and conviction of Eric Holder, who was sentenced to 60 years to life in prison in 2023.
