Nils Gilman: podcast appearances and interviews

Nils Gilman is a historian, futurist, and author who serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at the Berggruen Institute, a think tank based in Los Angeles. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts, and a doctorate in history from the University of California, Berkeley. Gilman has held the position of Associate Chancellor at UC Berkeley from 2014 to 2017. As an intellectual historian, he has authored works including Mandarins of the Future: Modernization Theory in Cold War America and Children of a Modest Star: Planetary Thinking for an Age of Crises. In his role as a futurist, he is known for cofounding the Transition Integrity Project alongside Rosa Brooks. Additionally, he is a fellow at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.
