Nikolas Wallenda, born on January 24, 1979, is an American acrobat, aerialist, daredevil, high wire artist, and author. As a seventh-generation member of The Flying Wallendas family, he participated in various circus acts as a child and made his professional tightrope walking debut at age 13. Wallenda is known for performing high-wire acts without a safety net and holds eleven Guinness World Records for various acrobatic feats. Notably, he was the first person to walk a tightrope directly over Niagara Falls and in 2020, walked 1,800 feet on a steel cable over Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua. Throughout his career, Wallenda has set numerous records including the longest and highest bicycle ride on a high-wire and performing on the Wheel of Death on top of a casino. He has walked across the Grand Canyon, tightroped between the towers of the Condado Plaza Hotel, and performed a high-wire walk while blindfolded. His feats often involve significant personal risk, and he has also recreated historic stunts such as tightrope walking between two skyscrapers. Wallenda's performances have been broadcast live on television, attracting record-breaking ratings, and he has authored a memoir titled 'Balance.' He is married with three children and considers his Christian faith a central aspect of his life.
