Nico Tyrone Harrison, born on December 28, 1972, is an American former professional basketball player and executive. He served as the president of basketball operations and general manager of the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association from 2021 until 2025. Harrison took on the role of general manager and president of basketball operations in 2021, succeeding Donnie Nelson. During his tenure, he was involved in the execution of the Luka Dončić–Anthony Davis trade in February 2025, a move that received significant criticism from fans and media alike. The trade, along with the team's sluggish start to the 2025–26 season and ongoing negative feedback from the fan base, led to his dismissal by Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont in November 2025. Following his departure, Harrison has been widely regarded as one of the worst general managers in recent NBA history.
