Nick Turner: podcast appearances and interviews

Nick Turner, also known as Nicky Turner, is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Turner Advisory Group. His diverse career spans both the music industry and technology innovation. Turner began as a drummer, briefly playing with The Raincoats and becoming a founding member of The Barracudas. He later helped form The Lords of the New Church. In August 2015, he was invited to perform drums for the band 69 Cats, marking his first live drumming performance in 28 years. Beyond his musical pursuits, Turner entered into a joint venture with I.R.S. Records in 1993, leading the creation of the Shock Therapy label. He demonstrated pioneering spirit by producing the first live video concert broadcast with a major label band over the internet in late 1994. Additionally, he organized the first video fan conference featuring members of The Doors. Turner launched Rocktropolis in early 1995, one of the earliest music websites, which garnered media attention for its innovative approach as 'rock n roll's first virtual city.' His tenure in the industry includes serving as a vice president at N2K in the late 1990s. As a testament to his influence in the music world, his drumsticks were featured for eight years in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, representing one of the largest collections of drumsticks.
