Natasha Anne Bedingfield, born on 26 November 1981, is a singer and songwriter with dual British and New Zealand nationality. Her debut studio album, Unwritten, was released in 2004 and featured primarily up-tempo pop songs influenced by R B music. The album achieved international success, selling more than 2.3 million copies worldwide. The title track, Unwritten, earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and she was also nominated for Best British Female Artist at the Brit Awards in 2005 and 2006. Unwritten also produced her only UK number one hit, These Words. Her second album, N B, released in 2007, included top 10 singles in the United Kingdom such as I Wanna Have Your Babies and Soulmate. A heavily reworked North American reissue of N B was released in 2008 under the name Pocketful of Sunshine, which featured singles like Love Like This and Pocketful of Sunshine; the latter peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became her best-selling single in the United States. In December 2010, Bedingfield released her third studio album, Strip Me, in North America. Throughout her career, she has sold over 10 million albums and 10 million singles worldwide, totaling more than 20 million records sold. In 2012, VH1 ranked her number 66 on the list of 100 Greatest Women in Music.
