Ming-Na Wen: podcast appearances and interviews

Ming-Na Wen is an American actress and model born on November 20, 1963. She has received multiple awards for her work, including an Annie Award and a Saturn Award, and has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2019, she was honored as a Disney Legend, and in 2023 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wen gained early recognition for her role as Lien Hughes on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns from 1988 to 1991. Her breakthrough came with her portrayal of June Woo in the film The Joy Luck Club in 1993. She also played Dr. Jing-Mei Deb Chen on the medical drama series ER from 1995 to 2004. Wen is notably recognized for voicing the character Fa Mulan in the Disney animated film Mulan, its sequel Mulan II, and various video games and television appearances, including a guest role on Sofia the First. She made a cameo in the 2020 live-action adaptation of Mulan. In addition to her voice work, Wen is known for her role as agent Melinda May on the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from 2013 to 2020. She has also appeared in the Star Wars franchise as the bounty hunter Fennec Shand, featured in The Mandalorian, Star Wars The Bad Batch, and The Book of Boba Fett. Wen's other significant roles include Chun-Li in Street Fighter, Detective Ellen Yin in The Batman, Judge Linda Harris in Two and a Half Men, and Camile Wray in Stargate Universe.
