Mike Black, born on July 25, 1969, is the President and CEO of ESB Financial. Previously, he was a professional football player who specialized as a placekicker for twelve seasons in the Arena Football League. His career in the AFL included playing for teams such as the Charlotte Rage, Iowa Barnstormers, New York CityHawks, New England Sea Wolves, Buffalo Destroyers, Tampa Bay Storm, and Grand Rapids Rampage. Black played college football at Boise State University, where he was recognized as a third-team All-American during his senior year in 1991. Throughout his AFL career, which spanned from 1993 to 2004, he earned All-Arena honors in four seasons and was named the AFL Kicker of the Year in 1999. In 2001, he was honored by being named to the AFL 15th Anniversary Team and concluded his playing days as the league's all-time leading scorer for kickers. Despite his relatively small stature at 5 feet 6 inches and 145 pounds, Black made significant contributions on the field. Since 1998, he has also worked as a spotter for ESPN, demonstrating his ongoing involvement in the sports industry.
