Wayne Federman: podcast appearances and interviews

Wayne Federman, born on June 22, 1959, is an American comedian, actor, author, writer, comedy historian, producer, and musician. He has performed in numerous stand-up comedy shows across clubs, theaters, and on television. He authored the book The History of Stand-Up and has appeared in supporting comedic roles in a variety of television series including The X-Files, The Larry Sanders Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Silicon Valley. His film appearances include Legally Blonde, 50 First Dates, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and Step Brothers. Federman served as the head monologue writer for NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon during its first season. In addition to his work in comedy and acting, he has contributed to documentary production; notably, he received a 2022 Primetime Emmy Award for producing the HBO documentary George Carlin's American Dream. He is affiliated with the University of Southern California.
