Mike Birbiglia is an American comedian, actor, director, producer, and Emmy-nominated writer born on June 20, 1978. He is known for his award-winning solo shows which he has both written and performed worldwide. His performances include Sleepwalk With Me, My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend, Thank God For Jokes, The New One, The Old Man and the Pool, and The Good Life. Many of his solo shows have enjoyed successful runs on and off Broadway and have been featured as popular Netflix comedy specials. Birbiglia has also contributed as a writer, director, and actor in films such as Sleepwalk with Me released in 2012 and Don't Think Twice released in 2016. As an actor, he has appeared in various films including Trainwreck, The Fault in Our Stars, Popstar, and A Man Called Otto. His television roles include appearances on Orange Is the New Black and Billions. In addition to his work in performance and film, Birbiglia hosts the podcast Mike Birbiglia's Working it Out.
