Bowen Yang: podcast appearances and interviews

Bowen Yang is an American comedian, actor, podcaster, and writer born on November 6, 1990. He joined the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live as a staff writer in 2018 and became a cast member in 2019, remaining on the show until his departure in 2025. During his time on SNL, Yang made history as the first featured player to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category, in 2021, the same year he was promoted to repertory status. In addition to his work on SNL, Yang has appeared in various television series including Girls5Eva, Ziwe, and The Other Two. He was also a recurring guest on Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens. His film appearances include the LGBTQ romantic comedies Fire Island and Bros, both released in 2022, as well as the musical fantasy films Wicked and Wicked: For Good, scheduled for 2024 and 2025 respectively. Beyond his acting and writing, Yang co-hosts the comedy pop-culture podcast Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers. His rising profile was recognized in January 2019 when he was named to Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 list for Hollywood and Entertainment.
