Michael Wardian, born on April 12, 1974, is an American athlete specializing in marathon and ultra-marathon running. He has achieved multiple national titles including wins at the US 50 km championships in 2008, 2009, and 2010, as well as the US 50 mile championship in 2011. Wardian also secured the U.S. National 100 km championship in 2008 and claimed victory at the JFK 50 Mile in 2007. His success extends to multiple victories in the National Marathon in Washington, D.C., where he has won six times between 2006 and 2012. Beyond competitions, Wardian has established numerous Fastest Known Time records, setting 25 in five countries. In 2019, he set the speed record for the 631-mile Israel National Trail.
