Michael Austin Cera is a Canadian actor and musician born on June 7, 1988. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and nominations, including nominations for a British Academy Film Award, three Critics' Choice Movie Awards, four Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Tony Award. Cera is known for leading roles in several comedic films such as Superbad, Juno, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, and Youth in Revolt. He has also taken supporting roles in both comedies and dramas including Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, This Is the End, Mollys Game, Person to Person, Gloria Bell, Barbie, Dream Scenario, and The Phoenician Scheme. He voiced Dick Grayson / Robin in The Lego Batman Movie. Cera gained prominence playing George Michael Bluth in the television sitcom Arrested Development, a role he portrayed from 2003 to 2006 and from 2013 to 2019. More recently, he starred as the lead in the Hulu comedy series Life & Beth and has provided voice work for children's series and roles in animated and live-action projects. In addition to screen acting, Cera has performed on Broadway in plays such as This Is Our Youth, Lobby Hero, for which he received a Tony Award nomination, and The Waverly Gallery.
