Meredith Whittaker: podcast appearances and interviews

Meredith Whittaker is the president of the Signal Foundation and serves on its board of directors. She has held academic and research positions, including as the Minderoo Research Professor at New York University and as a faculty member and co-founder of the AI Now Institute. Whittaker has also served as a senior advisor on artificial intelligence to Chair Lina Khan at the Federal Trade Commission. Her contributions to the field of AI have been recognized by TIME magazine, which listed her among the 100 most influential people in AI in 2023. During her 13-year tenure at Google, she founded the company's Open Research group and co-founded the M-Lab. Whittaker was a core organizer of the Google Walkouts in 2018 and resigned from the company in July 2019. In July 2025, she joined the Board of Directors at the German media company Hubert Burda Media.
