Melissa Peterman, born on July 1, 1971, is an American actress, television host, and comedian. She has played the role of Barbra Jean in the television comedy series Reba and appeared as Bonnie Wheeler in the ABC Family and Freeform series Baby Daddy. Peterman has also hosted several television programs, including ABC Family's Dancing Fools, ABC's Bet on Your Baby, and CMT's The Singing Bee. From 2017 to 2024, she portrayed Brenda Sparks in the spin-off series Young Sheldon. Since September 2023, she has hosted the television game show Person, Place or Thing. In 2024, she was cast as the executive director of Reba and Happy's Place, a sitcom starring Reba McEntire that premiered on NBC on October 18, 2024.
