Melanie Phillips: podcast appearances and interviews

Melanie Phillips, born on June 4, 1951, is an English public commentator and author. She has written for numerous publications including The Guardian, The Times, The Jerusalem Post, the Jewish News Syndicate, and The Jewish Chronicle. Her writing primarily focuses on political and social issues from a socially conservative Zionist perspective. Throughout her career, Phillips has been associated with a range of political views, with critics in the 1990s alleging a connection to right-wing and far-right politics, as well as the Eurabia conspiracy theory. She and her supporters have disputed these characterizations, asserting that her views are rooted in concerns for social policy and extremism. Phillips has stated that her stance remains consistent and that she continues to advocate for what she perceives as truth, justice, and the vulnerable. Her long career has been recognized with the Orwell Prize for Journalism in 1996, awarded when she was writing for The Observer. She has appeared as a panellist on programs such as BBC Radio 4's The Moral Maze and BBC One's Question Time.
