Alan Morton Dershowitz is an American lawyer and law professor known for his expertise in U.S. constitutional and criminal law. He served on the faculty of Harvard Law School from 1964 to 2013, where he was appointed as the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law in 1993. Dershowitz is recognized for his work as a media contributor, political commentator, and legal analyst, often engaging with high-profile cases and issues. Throughout his career, he has taken on numerous notable clients and causes, including representing celebrities such as Mike Tyson, Patty Hearst, Leona Helmsley, Julian Assange, and Jim Bakker. He has been involved in significant legal victories, particularly in criminal appellate law, winning 13 of 15 murder and attempted murder cases he handled by 2009. Dershowitz has contributed to landmark appeals, including overturning convictions for Harry Reems and Claus von Bülow. He also participated as an appellate adviser in the O. J.
