Matthew Dicus Capps, born on September 3, 1983, is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, and Minnesota Twins. Capps is a graduate of Alexander High School in Douglasville, Georgia, where he lettered in football, basketball, cross-country, and baseball. Following high school, he received a scholarship to Louisiana State University. After his playing career, he became known as a broadcaster for the Pirates. His experience as a professional athlete and his familiarity with the game contribute to his role as a broadcaster for the team.
