Marty Supreme is an American sports comedy-drama film released in 2025. Directed by Josh Safdie and co-written with Ronald Bronstein, the film is set in the 1950s and follows the story of Marty Mauser, a table tennis player portrayed by Timothée Chalamet. The story is loosely based on the life of Marty Reisman and depicts his pursuit of becoming a world champion. The production of the film began in 2018 after Safdie was introduced to Reisman's 1974 memoir, The Money Player, which details the life of America's greatest table tennis champion and hustler. Safdie's encounter with Chalamet in 2018 led to Chalamet being cast in the lead role. The project saw a lengthy development period, culminating in its official announcement in July 2024.
