About Mark Ronson

Mark Daniel Ronson, born on September 4, 1975, is a British and American musician, record producer, songwriter, and DJ. He has received ten Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year for Amy Winehouse's album Back to Black and awards for Record of the Year for her single Rehab and his own single Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars. Ronson also won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe, and a Grammy for co-writing Shallow for the film A Star Is Born in 2018. Ronson's debut studio album, Here Comes the Fuzz, was released in 2003 under Elektra Records and featured collaborations with notable American hip hop artists. After parting ways with Elektra, he co-founded Allido Records. His production work on albums for artists like Lily Allen, Christina Aguilera, and Amy Winehouse brought him wider recognition by 2006. That year, he signed with Columbia Records and released the album Version, a collection of Motown-funk covers, which included singles like Stop Me and Valerie performing well on the UK Singles Chart. His third album, Record Collection, released in 2010, achieved commercial success and charted on both the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. Ronson's 2014 hit Uptown Funk became one of the best-selling singles of all time, spending multiple weeks at number one in the US and UK. In 2018, he founded Zelig Records and formed the duo Silk City with Diplo; their collaboration Electricity received a Grammy Award. He was also the lead and executive producer for the soundtrack of the 2023 film Barbie, which won multiple Grammy Awards and an Academy Award, and he continues to collaborate on soundtracks for upcoming film projects.
