Mark Porter was born on 15 March 1960 in Aberdeen, Scotland. He is a British publication designer and art director with a notable career in media design. Porter has served as the creative director of The Guardian and was previously the art director of the Evening Standard, the UK edition of Wired, and Colors. His work includes directing the redesign of The Guardian, which was recognized by the Society for News Design as the best-designed newspaper in the world in 2006. A graduate of Oxford University, Porter has also been involved in roles beyond media, including serving as a pastor, fitness coach, and nonprofit leader at Porter's Pest Control UK.
