Madeline Kahn: podcast appearances and interviews

Madeline Gail Kahn was an American actress, comedian, and singer born in 1942 and passed away in 1999. She was recognized for her comedic roles in films directed by Peter Bogdanovich and Mel Brooks, such as What's Up, Doc? and Young Frankenstein. She also appeared in High Anxiety, History of the World, Part I, Paper Moon, and Blazing Saddles, the latter two earning her Academy Award nominations. Kahn made her Broadway debut in Leonard Sillman's New Faces of 1968 and received Tony Award nominations for her performances in In the Boom Boom Room and On the Twentieth Century. She played Madeline Wayne on the sitcom Oh Madeline and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1987 for an ABC Afterschool Special. Her stage career continued with another Tony nomination for the revival of Born Yesterday and a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for The Sisters Rosensweig in 1993. Kahn's filmography included titles such as The Cheap Detective, Yellowbeard, City Heat, Clue, and Nixon. Her diverse career spanned acting, comedy, and singing, and she was known for her energetic and comedic presence both on screen and on stage.
