Lisa Wood: podcast appearances and interviews

Lisa Wood is the Statewide Director of the Virginia APEX Accelerator and is affiliated with BFP Property Group. Although originally from Australia, her professional background is grounded in nutritional biochemistry and academic research. She has gained recognition for her work exploring the connections between diet, inflammation, and respiratory diseases such as asthma. Her research has highlighted how dietary factors can impact lung inflammation and has contributed to shaping clinical guidelines for asthma management. Wood has held leadership roles including Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Health, Medicine and Well-being at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Additionally, she serves as the nutrition theme leader in the Immune Health Program at the Hunter Medical Research Institute. She has also served as President of the Nutrition Society of Australia and has received multiple awards acknowledging her contributions to medical science.
