Linda Hazzard: podcast appearances and interviews

Linda Laura Hazzard was an American practitioner known for her promotion of fasting and various extreme treatments. Born with the nickname the 'Starvation Doctor', she engaged in practices that included fasting, pummeling, and hours-long enemas. Hazzard operated a sanitarium on the Kitsap Peninsula in the early 20th century, where she was implicated in the deaths of at least 15 individuals. In 1911, she was convicted of manslaughter in the state of Washington and sentenced to a period of two to 20 years of hard labor. She was released after serving two years and received a full pardon from Governor Ernest Lister in 1916, on the condition that she relocate to New Zealand. Hazzard's methods and practices drew significant controversy and legal action, and she was characterized as a quack and swindler. She died at the age of 70, having subjected herself to her own treatment protocols.
