Leonard Maltin: podcast appearances and interviews

Leonard Michael Maltin, born on December 18, 1950, is an American film critic, film historian, and author. He is recognized for his book of film capsule reviews, Leonard Maltin's Movie Guide, which was published from 1969 to 2014. Maltin served as the film critic on Entertainment Tonight from 1982 to 2012 and has taught film as a professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts since 1998. He began hosting the weekly podcast Maltin on Movies in 2014. Maltin has also held the position of President of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for two terms and participates in voting for films to be included in the National Film Registry. In addition to his work on reviews and criticism, he has authored books focusing on animation and the history of film. Maltin has hosted numerous specials and provided commentary for several films. His memoir, Starstruck: My Unlikely Road to Hollywood, was published in 2021. In recognition of his contributions to film criticism and history, he received the Robert Osborne Award from Turner Classic Movies in 2022.
