Lena Hall: podcast appearances and interviews

Lena Hall is an American actress and singer recognized for her performances on Broadway and in various theatrical productions. She won the Tony Award for her role as Yitzhak in the 2014 revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and received a Grammy nomination for the musical's official album. In 2016, Hall made history by being the first person to portray both Hedwig and Yitzhak in the same production during a national tour of the musical. She originated the role of Nicola in the Broadway musical Kinky Boots and has appeared in other Broadway shows including Cats, 42nd Street, Dracula the Musical, and Tarzan the Musical. Her Off-Broadway credits include productions such as Radiant Baby, Bedbugs!!!, Rooms: A Rock Romance, The Toxic Avenger, Prometheus Bound, Chix6, Little Shop of Horrors, and the 2017 play How to Transcend a Happy Marriage. Hall has also acted in films including Sex and the City, The Graduates, Born from the Foot, The Big Gay Musical, and Becks, the latter earning her critical acclaim. Her television appearances include roles on ABC's All My Children, HBO's Girls, Amazon's Good Girls Revolt, and she provided the voice for Countess Coloratura in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In 2020, she joined the cast of TNT's Snowpiercer as Miss Audrey. Additionally, Hall was the lead singer of the band The Deafening, which released an album titled Central Booking in 2012. She released her first solo album, Sin & Salvation: Live At the Carlyle, in 2015.
