About Kirsten Miller
Kirsten Miller is an American novelist born in 1973. She is best known as the creator of the Kiki Strike book series, which includes the first book, Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City, published in 2006, and the second, The Empresss Tomb, published in October 2007. The series follows the adventures of Kiki Strike, Ananka Fishbein, and their friends in New York City, with inspiration drawn from an underground room discovered on a Manhattan nursing home lawn in 2001. Miller created the character Kiki Strike and the Irregulars, a group named after Sherlock Holmes' Baker Street Irregulars, to explore hidden tunnels and secret passageways beneath the city. Her work also includes the series The Eternal Ones, with the first book released on August 10, 2010, and a three-book children's series co-authored with Jason Segel titled Nightmares! The first book in this series was published in fall 2014. Miller resides and works in New York City.
