Karen Attiah: podcast appearances and interviews

Karen Attiah is an American writer, commentator, and editor who was formerly employed by The Washington Post. She was hired by the Post in 2014 and became the founding editor of its Global Opinions section in 2016. In 2021, she was promoted to the role of Opinions columnist. Attiah played a significant role in recruiting Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi for the Global Opinions section and gained recognition for her journalistic work following Khashoggi's disappearance after entering the Saudi embassy in Istanbul in 2018. Her responses to the事件 led to her being named 2019 Journalist of the Year by the National Association of Black Journalists. Additionally, she and colleague David Ignatius received the 2019 George Polk Award in Journalism for their coverage related to Khashoggi's murder.
