Judea Pearl: podcast appearances and interviews

Judea Pearl is an Israeli-American electrical engineer, computer scientist, and philosopher known for his significant contributions to artificial intelligence. His work has focused on advancing the probabilistic approach to AI and developing Bayesian networks, which are graphical models that represent probabilistic relationships among variables. Pearl is also recognized for formulating a theory of causal and counterfactual inference based on structural models. His contributions to the field earned him the Turing Award in 2011 from the Association for Computing Machinery, which is considered the highest honor in computer science. Pearl has authored several books, including the technical publication Causality: Models, Reasoning and Inference, as well as The Book of Why, a book aimed at explaining causality to a general audience. Beyond his academic achievements, Pearl is known as the father of journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.
