John O’Neill: podcast appearances and interviews

John O’Neill was an Emmy-winning writer and director associated with the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Although primarily recognized for his contributions to science and research in this context, he was also distinguished for his extensive writings on various social and philosophical topics. O’Neill authored, edited, and translated over 30 books and numerous articles, many of which have been translated into multiple languages including French, German, Japanese, and Mandarin. His work explored themes such as corporeal knowledge and embodiment, emphasizing the influence of familial relationships and social welfare on social theory. As a prominent academic, O’Neill held the position of Distinguished Professor of Sociology at York University, where he also co-founded the Programme in Social and Political Thought. O’Neill was recognized as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1985 and contributed to scholarly publications as a co-editor of the International Quarterly, Philosophy of the Social Sciences, and the Journal of Classical Sociology.
