John Kampfner: podcast appearances and interviews

John Kampfner is a British author, broadcaster, and commentator. He is the author of Braver New World, his eighth book, which is scheduled for publication in April 2026. Since 2019, Kampfner has served as a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, a defence and security think tank. Between 2022 and 2023, he held the position of Executive Director of the UK in the World Programme at Chatham House. He is also the Chair of the Young Koenigswinter conference, which fosters connections between young people from Germany and the United Kingdom, and the Deputy Chair of the Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft, a German-British association. Additionally, he was a Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Berlin from 2024 to 2025. Kampfner is a regular contributor to publications such as Politico, Foreign Policy, and The Guardian. He also writes columns for the Financial Times, The New World, The Independent, Der Spiegel, and Die Zeit. As a broadcaster, he frequently produces content for the BBC, including documentaries. His most recent work includes a BBC Radio 4 documentary commemorating the centenary of Mein Kampf.
