James Crabtree: podcast appearances and interviews

James Crabtree is a British author and geopolitical analyst. He has written for publications including Nikkei Asian Review and Foreign Policy. Crabtree previously served as the Singapore-based executive director of the Asia branch of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. He has also held academic positions, including associate professor of practice at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and a senior fellow at its Centre on Asia and Globalisation. Additionally, he was a non-resident fellow at Chatham House, a London-based think tank. As of October 2024, Crabtree is a distinguished visiting fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations. He is known for his writings on geopolitics, including his first book titled The Billionaire Raj, which explores India’s socio-economic landscape during its recent gilded age.
