John Dehner: podcast appearances and interviews

John Dehner Forkum was an American actor born on November 23, 1915, and passed away on February 4, 1992. Over a career spanning from the late 1930s to the late 1980s, he accumulated nearly 300 credits across feature films, television series, and made-for-TV movies. Dehner was frequently cast in roles such as sophisticated con men, shady authority figures, and smooth-talking villains. His extensive work in radio during its golden age included hundreds of performances on nationally broadcast series. His most prominent role was portraying Paladin on the radio version of the Western television series Have Gun – Will Travel, which aired for 106 episodes on CBS from 1958 to 1960. In addition to his radio work, Dehner was also involved in voice acting for films, including narrating The Hallelujah Trail. Earlier in his career, he worked briefly for Walt Disney Studios as an assistant animator from 1940 to 1941 at the Burbank facilities. His screen appearances include episodes of Columbo, such as Swan Song with Johnny Cash, and Last Salute to the Commodore. He also appeared in a two-part episode of Mission: Impossible.
