John Dee: podcast appearances and interviews

John Dee was an English mathematician, astronomer, teacher, astrologer, occultist, and alchemist who lived from 1527 to 1608 or 1609. He served as the court astronomer and advisor to Elizabeth I, dedicating much of his work to alchemy, divination, and Hermetic philosophy. As an antiquarian, he maintained one of the largest libraries in England during his lifetime. Dee also expressed political views, notably advocating for the establishment of English colonies in the New World with the aim of forming a British Empire, a term he is believed to have coined.
