Joseph Malcolm Harris, born September 6, 1991, is an American professional with a background in basketball. He played college basketball for the Virginia Cavaliers before being selected with the 33rd overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Harris spent one and a half seasons with the Cavaliers before being traded and waived due to injury. In 2016, he was signed by the Brooklyn Nets, where he distinguished himself by making 200 three-pointers in a single season, a feat achieved by only three players in the franchise's history. During his tenure with the Nets, Harris led the NBA in three-point shooting accuracy in the 2018–19 and 2020–21 seasons. In 2021, he surpassed Dražen Petrović to become the Nets' all-time leader in three-point field goal percentage and also surpassed Jason Kidd to become the franchise's leader in three-point field goals made. Harris ranks fifth in NBA history for career three-point field goal percentage, with a minimum of 1,000 made three-pointers as of March 5, 2024. After his time with the Nets, Harris played for the Detroit Pistons in his final season before retiring from professional basketball.
