Jerome Allen Seinfeld, born on April 29, 1954, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, filmmaker, and television producer known for his work in observational comedy. He gained widespread recognition through his role in the NBC sitcom Seinfeld, which he co-created and wrote with Larry David. The show, which aired from 1989 to 1998, is considered one of the most acclaimed and popular sitcoms of all time. Seinfeld's portrayal of a fictionalized version of himself earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Television Series Musical or Comedy.
